As I have mentioned earlier in my Knot an Ordinary Love Slave Collar Series, I have been looking for ways to build pieces that will appeal to bondage enthusiasts. I want to create jewelry that hints at the joys of Shibari. This entire piece speaks of twisted rope with its multi-strand infinity knot and the intricate basket weave technique.
I based the design of this collar on a twisted wire bangle tutorial by Mary Tucker of Wired Elements. I have her express permission to modify the design and use the techniques she taught to create items to offer up for sale.
To assure the ideal fit for this collar please take care in measuring the intended recipients neck as instructed below.
1. Use a cloth measuring tape (tailors or sewers tape measure) for best accuracy.
2. Lay the tape around the neck mid way between the jawline and the hollow of the throat.
A. Don't pull the tape tight but rather ensure it lays flat against the skin all the way around the neck.
B. Don't leave any slack and ensure you don't have a finger or thumb between the tape and the skin.
3. Add 1.5 inches to the resulting measurement to get the proper size to order for this collar.
EX. 13 inch neck at level of Adam's Apple gets plus 1.5" means you should order a 14.5 inch collar.
You will receive the pictured item.
The clasp on this choker is a specialty S type clasp with a lovely sterling silver rose mounted on the front.
You can also remove the clasp and substitute your own small padlock, or other locking mechanism. See my padlocks and clasps section for alternative locking options and the specialty tools required to operate the captive segment clasps.
This item is fine jewelry and is not suitable for use as a bondage tie point. It is made using precious metals which are too soft for even mock struggles in bondage play scenes.
All of my made-to-order pieces take 3-4 weeks for me to process prior to shipping. This is for 4 reasons:
1. I'm nearly always running a queue of 25-35 custom orders and I do each on a first order in first order out basis.
2. I run every aspect of this business all by myself in addition to managing my family. So I have to build in time to handle all the administrative duties as well as making each piece by hand.
3. I also like to maintain the utmost quality and I have learned that rushing things brings on mistakes and frustration for both me and my clients.
4. I order in all the materials for each custom client as needed and since I won't know what I'll need until something is purchased I, too, have to wait for the supplies to arrive.
Shipping speeds after that depend on where you are in the world and on what shipping options you select during the checkout process.
Also items going overseas may be subject to additional customs fees, which I am unable to predict or handle on my end for you. This sometimes means that customs officials will hold the package until they have received the customs duties. In my past experiences the client is rarely notified about this in a timely manner. So you will want to track the package both with the USPS and with your country's postal organization(s). For example with items going to the UK the package tracking switches from the USPS to Royal Mail once in the UK. Many countries in our modern age have several different organizations handling mail, so you may have to check with more than one carrier before you find which one is tracking your package.
*****Warning use extreme caution when wearing one of these locking day collars. Any item worn around the neck that is not easy to remove can pose the hazard of serious injury or loss of life. Ensure there is a key within reach at all times in case of accident, and never wear this locked while alone.*******
All orders ship via USPS. Orders of more than $100.00 Ship priority mail flat rate with signature required. Please note that international packages also ship via priority mail. Priority mail international takes 6-10 days for delivery and tracking is not available.
For international customers who wish faster shipping with tracking there will be additional shipping fees. Please convo me before you order so I can adjust the shipping charges to reflect this change.
I have done my best to photograph this item so that its colors are accurately shown, however different computer screens and browsers interpret colors differently so please allow for these discrepancies. My passion lies in bringing beauty into the BDSM lifestyle! It's fun to have
practical things but the symbolism of a beautiful locking collar or cuff takes it into that spiritual connection that sometimes gets neglected.
My motto is: Beautify the BDSM Worlds, one submissive at a time!
