These are solid titanium, not titanium coated stainless steel. They are anodized and come in either black or rainbow color at this time.
These are the same body jewelry components I use in my BDSM slave jewelry as discreet locking mechanism clasps. You will need a special tool to operate these rings. The tool is called a ring opening pliers, I offer a limited quantity of these here in my shop, but you can find them all over the web, or at a Tattoo and Piercing Supply shop.
You will want to be very cautious when using pliers to release the tension holding in the captive bead ring. Too much pressure and the ring won't have sufficient tension to hold the bead in place. Fixing this issue requires a different tool called ring closing pliers.
Please note that it is important to squeeze gently while gradually applying only enough pressure to allow the captive bead or segment to be removed or replaced. Too much pressure can cause the stainless steel to warp open so far that there will no longer be enough tension to set the segment or captive bead back into place.
