I make this using a technique attributed to the ancient Vikings, called Trichinopoly or more commonly known today as Viking Knit. It took several yards of 24 gauge sterling silver wire and more than 10 hours to hand weave this chain.
You will receive the exact item pictured here. Tool not included in the purchase price. Tool is available in the padlocks and clasps section of my shop.
The wearer will not be able to put on or remove the clasp on their own, it must be placed on the wrist by the giver.
The special solid titanium captive segment focal serves as the locking clasp. This ring requires a special tool called ring opening pliers to operate. To see how this works go here: You can also find a video showing how to open and close one of these rings on YouTube. www.youtube.com/watch?v=43XkD3UeG7I.
If I still have some in stock, you can purchase a pair of ring opening pliers from the Padlocks and Clasps section of my shop. Pliers like these are also available through a large number of other online vendors who carry body piercing tools and supplies.
Be very careful not to squeeze too hard when using these pliers. You can accidentally open the ring too far for the captive segment to be held securely in place. It is tension that keeps these rings closed. If you do accidentally open the clasp too far. There is another tool called ring closing pliers that you may want to locate. I do not carry those in my shop.
Each individual collar I craft is a piece of jewelry in its own right. My locking slave collars are made to be public or day collars. These collars are precious jewelry and must not be used for bondage play. Each collar will distort in shape and possibly break if used for any purpose other than adornment.
*****Warning: use extreme caution when wearing one of these locking day collars. Any item worn around the neck can be a choking/strangulation hazard. Ensure there is a key within reach at all times in case of accident, and never wear this locked while alone. *****
